Back to school
It's been an eventful summer of progress and many bugs, but unfortunately, this yellow guy has to get back to class. I've really loved working on this project, it feels like I get to pour all my silliness into one place and I'm truly grateful. Since we're building everything from scratch, I get to use all my Windows Paint, Blender, and brogramming skills in one place. I have a lot of concepts I've kept as headcannons over the years, but this is the first time I'm fully deep diving to make one a reality. It's honestly coming out exactly as I've imagined it, which is fantastic for me but probably insane for others.
Looking back, I didn't know how far I'd get with Durg's Durgers. If summer ended and all I had was a moving bean, that would've been more than enough for me. Knowing that we came this far with actual multiplayer, syncing, item grabbing, snapping, and scheduling, it feels almost surreal. I'm so lucky I was unemployed long enough to make this progress. Having to temporary suspend Durg's Durgers so that I pass my classes is a little sad, but I'm really excited for when I do come back. Each class I take really improves my productivity, I'm confident we will make double the progress we did this summer and that's a promise :) See you in the next one!
